Shipments by airfreight are charged at either their actual weight or dimensional
weight, whichever is greater. The formulas are different for International
and Domestic shipments and are shown below.
Domestic Shipments: (Length x width x height) divided by 194 in. = Dimensional
weight in LBS.
Domestic Surface Freight: (Length x width x height) divided by 1728
in. = Dimensional weight in CBF.
International Shipments: (Length x width x height) divided by 166 in.
= Dimensional weight in LBS.
Ocean shipments will be charged based on weight or measure in terms
of 1000 KGS or Cubic Meters, at whatever is greater. Certain rates may be specifically
chargeable on weight only, or in case of containerized shipments may be rated
in terms of container size.
